Could anyone tell me who their one tie was to, and what teams in the tourney played them the toughest? Thank you

Hockey hub would have their schedule, so you could look there. I do know they beat Hill-Murray 3-1 in the first game of the season and looked to be the much better team. Granted that was a long time ago. It will be interesting to see a Minnetonka team that has never made the state tournament before. Will they handle prosperity? They are clearly the favorite.
Looked it up. They lost to Shattuck's U19 girls team and tied Edina. They beat Edina 1-0 the second time they played. Tonka has played a really tough schedule and should be better off for it.

thinking back, how many current tonka girls played for the Rink Rats AAA? I think most are sophomores now. They were good at u10 & maybe 12, just curious. I thought they were good then, the future looks bright for the skippers

This team looks utterly dominant from the little I've seen. If they can do it I think they'd be the first team to shutout everyone at state. Bizarre the one loss record?

Woops, spoke too soon. I thought Coon Rapids gave them some problems in the second period. Little too late though.
no goals

Congrats to Tonka who showed all year they were the best team in Minnesota. Undefeated in 3 games against Edina this year, who clearly was the second best team. Can't argue the best team didn't win...
champs...

hockeywild7, i believe you are correct. i think previous to that it may have been jefferson in '01 or possibly AV in late 90's, 98?
whatever, the tourney have been going for about 13-14 years and out of all those years the "aa" champ comes from there all but 3 or 4 yrs.

Congrats to Tonka for not only winning, but for doing so with the #1 target on their back all season. This is incredibly difficult to accomplish over the course of 30 games and much more so than being a team that happens to get hot at season's end. A very tough row to hoe when every team you're playing is giving you their very best shot game in and game out. Nicely done, Skippers.
