Burnsville Student Section

I just wanted to say how impressed I was with the Burnsville student section at the 2AA Championship Game. The students sang the National Anthem, were very loud in their support, and their cheers were very positve. Other student sections could take a lesson from them. It would have been great to see them at State. What a class act.

2nd that.
Around 4:30 I stopped by Mariucci to pick up tickets and the students where lined up outside the gates waiting to get in. By far the most impressive student section last night. EP on the other hand.....where is your school spirit?

They'll be there at the X if they have a day game and can get out of school! I agree on Bville. After they lost they chanted "we still love you"

B'Ville students were very good. Passionate, loud, energetic, costumed and choreographed. My only complaint, and it's minor, is they could use some new material. "Daddy's money" - really? That was old when I was young and that was a long time ago.

Old but Classic.
In a game with Edina, HM, STA, Breck, pretty much some of the other private schools, "Daddy's Money" is going to be chanted in the arena.
It's just a given!

The funniest is when Edina plays 'Tonka and the 'Tonka students break that one out - it's not like Minnetonka is real blue collar.

The "We can't hear you" chant is far, far worse. HS student sections to me are kind of...

, except for the really good ones, such as Burnsville as you guys described, and those really good ones are far better than the U of M student section at hockey games.

Where was Edina's band last night? They were the only school whose band did not show up.
I agree that Burnsville had the best student section, by far.

I believe in today's society student's should ponder shouting:
Mommy's Money!
:P

I never understood the Daddy's Money chant, this would imply that these team's players paid for their camps, leagues, equipment, ? Funny stuff
A more appropriate chant might be Daddy's Credit!
pride

As a Burnsville student, I appreciate the recognition of our student section. We had turnout at every game this season. We support our boys throughout every thing and we were really hoping to make it to state this year to show our school pride and how good our team has turned into. It would be more fun if more schools had turn outs like ours, but we don't mind making the others look small

EP was just as big as Edina or Wayzata yesterday, plus they were the only school to execute a single color. And the EP band was the best, Wayzata's was embarrassing. Gotta give credit to Bville students though, they had the biggest by far.

How was the crowd last night? When I went two years ago it was terrible. Not enough ticket windows open, long lines, an obviously mshsl run event. It took me most of the first period to get in. Then last year at the target Center, there was plenty of room but absolutely no atmosphere. I wonder if it was better this year.

Did the Burnsville kids do the "rollercoaster"?
My kids thought that was really cool at the X two years ago.

Roller coaster was awesome. Loved the burnsville section. They do it right. On the other hand wayzatas needs to get to work. Only time they make noise is when they score.

I will never forget the Burnsville student section during the 2007 tourney. They had the best and loudest cheers and created such an exciting environment.
