Tromp has been on fire for Hibbing. He has stopped 81 of 82 shots in the four postseason games, and the one goal allowed was when Central had a 2 man advantage.

There seemed to be a lot of weak goaltending in the A session today. Rebounds that should have been controlled or covered, indecisive decisions, and a lot of weak goals. Could be nerves to I spose.

He has a lot of upside and has had numerous games where he helped steal wins for Lakeville North. He is only a junior as well.

After Blaine's goalies performance vs Maple Grove... I'd say Blaine has the best goalie and that's all they got too.

Let's wait and see how he performs today and throughout the tournament.
Needs to be a consistent performer in my mind to be the best goalie. Your right that Blaine does not have much, but they have pulled thru to get this far

Nathan Tromp of Hibbing, he is playing outstanding right now, and has been all through playoffs. This kid deserves a load of credit, my hat goes off to this athlete.

I was disappointed in the goaltending yesterday, but today's tending has been awesome.
A couple incredible efforts tonight to keep their teams alive.
And the WBL/DE goalies were fantastic.
Makes the game so much more exciting.

Really, really impressed with him today.
Carries himself like a NHL vet, so quiet and confident in net.

I don't think any of them has looked nearly as impressive as Bitzer.

If you look at these goalies regular season numbers, there is a huge discrepancy in the SOG on them. It's not hard to look great when you are getting less than 20 shots on you on a regular basis --- there were only a handful of games for many of the top goalies where they faced over 30 shots a game. No doubt they are good goalies, but great....how can you say when they haven't faced the fire.

I'd take Bitzer any day. That kid can flat out play and without a ton of help in front of him. I had not seen him play before tonight....impressive.

I just feel bad for Bitzer...

He gave his team every opportunity to stay in the game.

Although Eagan's tender got the W and a shutout' I would still give Bitzer a first star.

Don't feel bad for Bitzer. He will advance just like Lyon because of the work he gets game in and game out, while many of these others will get exposed when they don't have all that help in front of them someday.

Although I'm not disappointed to see Eagan move on because they clearly have a better shot with Eden Prairie, I felt bad for Bitzer as well. There were some distractions when I was watching the game but from what I saw the score coulda been 12 to 0. How many odd man rushes did Eagan have? It seemed like every two minutes Bitzer had to face a two on one or a breakaway or something. Moorhead's offense just looked horrendous and if I was any of those kids (including defensemen) I would've personally apologized to Bitzer for that performance.
