What happened?
Missed a good scoring chance late or it would have been 11-1?

The top four were definitely & clearly the top 4. A step above the others. Edina, seems unstoppable. Rose vs Way should be a solid game [toss up] and I'm picking Hornets by 2 plus over Tigers. Tigers go down to Edina. JMO...that's all.

Edina 7
Farmington 3
Farmington made it a game in the first period...then Edina showed up and it was kind of a snoozer the rest of the way. Good effort by Farmington. Edina is just too good.

Congrats to Edina. Awesome squad, well coached...really came on as playoffs aproached. Clearly #1 without a doubt. Farm, Wayz & Rose are a step down and then next group the Bvilles, Tonka, EP's, Blaine, then another drop...... Great season everyone.

I would include B'ville up a level, they did sweep the reg. season vs. Edina. I heard both their goalies were fighting concussions all year.

I was at the game today. Never would I say that Edina was hands down the better team. A tough no goal call shifted momentum in favor of Hornets. Capitalizing on that call with a goal stifled the Tigers and frustrated them early. Seemed like a classic example of PeeWee hockey emotional roller coasters.
I also can't imagine that the goal tending for Farmington was like that all year long. I'm sure he is a much stronger goalie than he showed today. A couple more big saves and we would have had a much closer game.
Both teams had great players with high end skills. They really did a great job turning pucks over and attacking the ozone with a lot of speed.

That no goal call caused a definate shift in momentum...did you hear the whistle? We did not. Why they would let 2 young women referee a game of this magnitude is beyound belief and the calls were not even remotely close to consistent. It's too bad someone had to lose.

I guess now I know momentum and 2 women referee's are worth 3-4 goals a game.
Saw Farmington earlier in year couple times and very impressed but sounds like Edina is just playing a better right now.
Congrats to both teams, should be proud of yourselves!

You're right, not consistent. That elbow to the head that Farmington threw could have easily been a five and one of the boardings on Farmington should have been a CFB 2 and 10.

When you beat Blaine 7-2, Rosemount 10-1 and Farmington 7-3...you are hands down the best team...Congrats to the Edina players and coaches.
The State tourney games being played in Rink 3 (Olympic size rink) clearly helped Edina's cause and Farmington (a team with a lot of size) would have stood a better chance on a smaller ice sheet...but that being said... Edina's team speed and passing was a notch above any PeeWee team I've seem play this winter...and #15 for Edina (an offensive D) totally took over the game on the big ice sheet...scoring or assisting on 3 of Edina's first 4 goals...he is a player to watch in the future.
Nice job Hornets!
