I have seen him play and he actually has pretty good hands. They pretty much have him camp in front of the net and no one can move him out.

just assume it's not positive.
opinions do not make facts. Watch the kid play a year, then get back to it. I watched Benick play a couple games, thought he was over rated too. Only time will tell.

I watched a couple games this weekend and he has adjusted to the speed of the game well. He looks pretty raw right now, but huge upside. He should make a lot of noise this year.

Wonder what he thinks of going to Johnson instead of Mounds View.

So, how will Jay and the GOVS look this year? Will they compete for the top in the Tri-Metro this year? Looks like if they do, they may be in trouble after this season.

This is Johnsons best chance to make some noise in the Tri-metro. They have a solid forward group lead by Dickman, but both goailies from last year were Seniors.

I'm wondering what those of you who've seen JD play think his prospects are beyond the high school level? As I said I talked to his dad last year and the family would like to see him in the USHL next year, but what are his odds for, say, D1 or other juniors or professionally?
With his size that's an enormous plus for any player. I would just like for once more in my life to see a Govie do something much greater, like Progreba and Lyons and Eastman.

Wish I knew. I wish their website was a little more up-to-date for info like that. I will have to check it to see if they have some info.

Dickman has been on fire lately. He had a Hat Trick last night in a 4-3 loss against a very good Mahtomedi team. The Govies have some good talent, but are making too many mistakes at critical times in the game.
