Pre-season Scrimmages

Tryouts are nearly completed, with final varsity spots hinging on how the girls do in scrimmages with other teams during the next week or two. Post scrimmage results and your impressions of the other teams you've seen in this thread.
scrimmage in TRF

Good scrimmage today in Thief RIver Falls. Warroad HS and TRF skated hard to a 1-1 tie. Both teams look very good. TRF has a very young squad with a few 7th and 8th graders that played. Warroad has a great 1st line that moves the puck well and plays their position. They look like the defending champs. I give TRF credit for the battle they gave.

First of all, way to go TRF!! Second of all, how many of those 1st liners from Warroad are FROM Warroad?? I think they should list on their rosters where they are from like on a college roster, eh?

Grand Rapids-Greenway Scrimmage fest (November 4th & 5th). Each scrimmage was two 20 minute running time periods (Varsity & JV). FYI Score not kept or posted...

Saw the Duluth Jamboree, Benilde looks very good, Eagan played some nice games.
