It's the only game tonight...but it's a good one. Two preseason top-five Class A teams go head-to-head.

Both teams are coming off losses, as STA lost to Classic Suburban rival Hill-Murray and Lourdes fell at Little Falls. It's a great statement game this early in the season.

I'm thinking this will be a win for Lourdes. I'm a strong believer in STA's talent, but I think that Lourdes will end up on the winning side tonight.

Lourdes should have this one.

As it's a home game, I'm probably going to lean in that direction as well. Lourdes 4-3 over STA.

Was very impressed with Lourdes' speed in a victory at St. Cloud Cathedral, particularly that top line of Samuelson-Funk-Farrell.

Wow, STA is already up 3-0 with about two minutes to go in the first period...a big burst for the Cadets...

Goals from Hart, Regan and Sattler in the first few minutes of the game, caused Ellingson to be pulled in nets in favor of Neumann for Lourdes.

And a PP goal for Wyatt Schmidt and a shortie for Gunnar Regan...now 5-0 midway through the second period.

Three more goals from STA in the final two minutes of the second period after a Nicolay goal brought Lourdes within 5-1. It's now 8-1 after two periods.

My son is a Squirt and I had a hard time explaining why Neumann was pulled at the start of the 3rd. Dispite the score I thought Neumann played tough, (for sure to finish the 1st) and I'm sure he was not expecting to go in at the 8 minute mark of the 1st. Any insight?
