It will be another nail biter but i think MG comes out on top because of BSM's lack of attention to defense. BSM has played two very close games to two teams ranked worse than them so I don't know how they will come out tonight against the #3. Should be a good game-hopefully emotions will be kept in check at the end of this game unlike the last one.

5-4 MG. BSM's lackadaisical defense will cost them again.

7-3 BSM. Pauly is one of the best coaches in the state and will make the adjustments.

No prediction, but interested fans who can't attend in person might want to try www.parktv.org which MAY have live streaming of tonight's game. I can't find the schedule anywhere so I'm not sure about this, but I do know they stream quite a few of BSM's home games (and also televise SOME locally on community cable in SLP). On the website go to Channel 16 which is sports and select Live Streaming.

P.S. When watching in the past I could not get either Firefox or Chrome to work (says "missing plugin" and even when I've downloaded that it doesn't want to work). But for whatever reason Internet Explorer seems to work fine.

Looks like Benilde is getting quite the early beatdown. Is this streaming anywhere?

BSM is getting the crap beat out of them

Coach Ken Pauly and all the BSM team need to keep their emotions in check. It looks as if it is costing them another game. From what I've seen, if I could describe BSM in one word it'd be "overrated"

They did pick things up in the third period, however. Maple Grove is definitely the better team and they proved themselves tonight. Who deserves the #2 spot? Maple Grove, Minnetonka, or Eagan?

All 3 teams mentioned above could win state in my opinion - as they each have mutliple top end, 'skill' typle players needed to achieve that. Add East in there too and as of today they would be my top 4, but there is still a ways to go....

Interesting summary of the game in mnhockeyhub, very different than than the experience.

While BSM out shot MG in the 3rd period... domination is a bit of a stretch. Hopefully the 1-1-3 forecheck (AKA prevent defense) will be a lesson learned for MG after some games that were closer than they needed to be.

The puck was in MG's zone quite a bit (with Pauly's lobbying for penatlies and MG laying back), but never very long. Nothing sustained by BSM as they were totally outmatched in battles. MG turned it on at will when needed.

MG had to withstand missing key players as well.

Expecting a very different game vs DE.

It should be noted that BSM was without 3 of its top 5 defensemen. Jack Glover was out with a torn rotator cuff, Jonah Johnson was suffering from a lingering concussion, and Ryan Collins was out due to an illness.

Pauly is highly disregarded amongst the BSM community fwiw.

That is not true. Pauly is well thought of. You should not post after midnight.

Shots in third period were 20-7 Benilde. MG was just a dominant in the first.

BSM played 3 1/2 lines. MG played mostly 2. It caught up to them, but too little, too late for BSM.
