Let's get the conversation started on this one! #1 Duluth East vs #2 Maple Grove. Should be quite the atmosphere at the Community Center in Maple Grove.

MG will have to score 5 to win. They will need exceptioal goaltending to get the win.

No homer refs for east in this one so Maple Grove 5 - East 2 and hopefully a Randolph or 2 tossed!!!

Not gonna happen!! East 5-1

The two teams have a couple of common opponents, Wayzata and Centennial. DE played those two teams by a wider goal margin than MG.

The game is at Maple Grove though, but I still will give the edge to DE by a two goal margin.

I would not be surprised though if the Spuds don't beat DE later in the week.

I don't think venue is that big a deal as East is like the Globetrotters of HS hockey, they travel all over every year for games...and they have a good number of guys who have been on the big stage before..two excellent clubs, should be much fun..I like East by 1.

Duluth East defense and goal tending will provide enough for East to win by 2.

Haha I graduated last year, I was a one time super fan. No bandwagon to be had on this end

Even an impartial observer could see East win by two or three goals. The way they handled Minnetonka on the third game night in a row why would Maple Grove give them more than they could handle. It will be a close game throughout but in the end i see East pulling away. I will certainly be driving up from the Iowa border and be standing at the blue line watching this one. This is "must see" if you are a hockey fan isnt it.

Parker started last game, but the rotation hasn't exactly been even. Parker seems to wind up with the more difficult games and I wouldn't be surprised if that happens again.

Wish I could make the trip down to see this one, but myfoxhockey will probably have to do.

Should be the best game of the year.[so far] It's what we talk and type about in july I can't wait. East by 2 w/ an empty netter.

Why not? Smart move by the schools' ADs to schedule a showcase game on a night when they may be the only teams in the state playing.

If Duluth East beats Maple Grove tonight, and Moorhead beats Minnetonka tomorrow night...

then I'm definitely driving up to Duluth on Saturday night to see the Moorhead vs Duluth East game! That game will be intense
