Grand Rapids 4
White Bear Lake 3

Final

GR was up 4-1; WBL scored twice towards the end to make it interesting.

4 major penalties and plenty of minors, too. I'm not watching, so it's hard to say how warranted they were, but some (though not all) of the Hockey Hub people are complaining on the live blog. That's not normal.

I thought all of the penalties called were good calls.
This is the way the games will be called from here on out.
Each team had 2 majors. 1 checking from behind, 1 boarding, and 2 for kneeing.
I didn't see much arguement from anyone on the ice.

Good to hear. No game DQs?

I think the checking from behind resulted in a 5 and 10.
The rest were just 5 min.

The first knee major was questionable and Sager even spent time discussing it with the ref. The other three majors were legit.

Here's a fun one:

Andover 2
Maple Grove 2

Final

58 saves for the Andover goalie.

The top few spots in the rankings have been way too easy the past few weeks. The hockey gods are getting their revenge now.

Sats81 will be happy to hear that Kloos only figured in on four of South's goals.
