cathedral won the first matchup as little falls let it slip away.

SCC will need to be at the top of there game if they want to beat Little Falls. I think if they bang LF around and stay out of the box they should easily handle them. LF plays a nice clean game but a physical hard hitting style should easily shut them down providing the officials let them play.
LF has not played a high end team in 11 games so this should be a good test.

or little falls would have to be at the top of their game to beat cathedral? lets give credit where credit is due please...cathedral has played a tougher schedule with a nice win over warroad at their barn and played hermantown tough in theirs as well, and already beat little falls once at their place....cathedral certainly has the edge and is the favorite, little falls schedule as of late shows nothing as they have not played a worthy opponent.

Should be A great game, Cathedral has edge in goal, little falls at D, forwards pretty talented for both teams, SCC gets last change.

Over the last 18 games only Eagen has given up fewer goals per game then Cathedral's value of 1.67 goals/game.

Cathedral scores substantially more goals per game then Little Falls.

Both done with a tougher schedule, advantage Cathedral.

This should be a fun game to watch but Cathedral wins.

Over the last 13 I highly doubt any team has allowed fewer per game than Little Falls. It should be a good game. I'll laugh at a 0-0 tie.

4 rip cathedral after 2 periods. LF looks terrible and cannot get anything going. LF goalie keeping this from being running time so far. Zamboni didn't even have to resurface the cathedral D zone but surprisingly did anyway.

If Cathdral continues to improve as they have over the last 7 games, they will make it to state too. Cathedral is just starting to achieve their potential now.

if you are ripping on warroad you could say the same thing about Int. Falls and virginia not having the team of years past...i look at their overall schedule..they both play good teams but SCC plays a few more ranked teams...and that is a fact. (breck, warroad, delano, duluth marshall, are all rated ahead of little falls on www.followthepuck.com and LF does not play any of those teams and SCC does) I can't wait to see how LF does against Hermantown. I think that game could get ugly.

I just don't like the fact that Cathedral does schedule some teams that act as a good measuring stick such as Warroad, Breck, and Marshall, but it bothers me that they waste games on teams such as Litchfield, Hutchinson, Wadena, and Crookston. I am not saying they have to play all top notch teams, but at least give yourself a realistic challenge. Those teams could be beat by SCC's JV squad.

I totally agree with that statement. They need to replace playing some of those teams with tougher opponents from the metro area, moving into a more elite schedule. Playing these games are not helping either side.

Crookston is not a bad game to have on the schedule. Yeah, there are better teams, but they could do much worse too.

cathedral plays better teams in terms of volume than LF does but they still schedule boner games like wadena...it is mind boggling how you can have wadena and breck on the same schedule...not sure what they are thinking. i would rather have a well played loss against a good team than a blowout pad the stats win against struggling programs...wadena is neither in SCC section, conference, or close rivalry type game. LF has some cupcakes on the schedule too i am sure..i like LF's program and their coacha nd waht he has built there. good to see them in the same conference now.

You're not. Neither is anyone else on the board. Seems quite silly to speculate. But one thing I can be pretty sure of is that they didn't set out to make an easy schedule, would make no sense.

Plain and simple, they switched conferences, kept one game with each former conference team then had LOTS of games to fill on their schedule. I'm sure there aren't a lot of teams with big holes on their schedule year to year. They have all the teams they need to have and I'm sure their schedule will look much different, or at least in two years.
