My mite skated at this on Monday and had a blast. I was amazed at how many people came out for the day. Super rink is a great place to have a tournament like this.

Was it kids essentially playing for their associations or was it more like AAA-style teams?

It was about half and half association teams vs. invite teams.

So the obvious follow-up question was who had more success? I'm assuming the invite teams won?

Yes, but kids also skate together on 03 miracle gold team so in reality could really consider them both a AAA and association team

Elk River is already a AAA team given their influx of St. Francis talent.

One family moving to ER from sf is considered an influx of talent and makes it a AAA team....really? Yes he is a nice player, but must have already had some talent there to start with to be considered a AAA team. Chandler must be from SF and be bitter about the family moving....

LOL. I really had no idea how many players moved from St. Francis to Elk River. I just knew that one kid did. And since St. Francis doesn't have an A Mite team, I just assumed they all went to Elk River. I guess not. Haha... good stuff...

Why not? All they have to do is talk to their association and have them declare a squirt A team. They had 3 teams just like other small associations that decided to try to compete like Mora, Chisago Lakes, Rogers, Spring Lake Park etc.
