Class AA 3rd Place - Lakeville South vs. Moorhead

After 1 period, Lakeville South leads 1-0. Goal for LS scored by Lauderdale, assisted by Harvey & Kloos.
Shots were 9-3 for LS.

Now 2-0, Kloos with the goal in the 2nd period. Assist to Jackson.
LS still dominating in the shots too.

Moorhead - 0
Shots evened out for the most part, 16-15 for LS, but the Spuds still can't get anything past Schumacher.

Congratulations to Lakeville South, they finished better than pretty much everybody thought they would. Kloos puts an exclamation mark on his great season with the game winner!

That would be a real bummer if hockey and the state tournament was like NASCAR and it was based on a points system. It isn't. They count TEAM wins and losses only. Bottom line - they beat the top seed, lost to the eventual champs, and won the 3rd place game. I don't think they were scrambling at the "X" to put an asterisk on their 3rd place trophy because the score of their winners bracket semi-final was 10-1. I'm pretty sure the LS players will walk into school tomorrow morning with their heads held high for representing LS AND 1AA very well.
I'm sure you'll find something else to criticize them for - that seems to be all you're good for.
