All we know is it will be on Pokegama Lake in Grand Rapids, but does anyone know who the other 3 boys HS teams involved will be?

If this is true it should be fun to watch BSM and GR. I dont know much about Hibbing next year but i think it will be kind of a "re-building" year for Eagan. I would guess that Hibbing and Eagan will match up pretty evenly.

If Adam Johnson returns next year, then Hibbing should have enough offense to make a game of it.

BSM I'm sure will be a favorite in their section with Besse coming back, also Rapids will be the favorite in 7AA if Bischoff returns. Goalie Hunter Sheperd won't have to split time anymore and got his feet wet at the varsity level, gonna be interesting to see him be the full time starter.

The only rumor I heard was teams will A LOT of tradition will be involved, so from that standpoint I'm not so sure about BSM. Last year when the rumors flew Grand Rapids was playing BSM in Minnetonka, then Wayzata and Holy Angels were thrown into the rumor mill until FSN released the official match ups in mid-May.

Can't consider Eagan as having A LOT of tradition either, given that its high school is only 23 years old. But is there a metro area team that both has that tradition and would be a good match for a team like Hibbing?

Jefferson comes to mind.

Hope that rumor is wrong, though...Eagan v Hibbing would be a fun undercard game. Too early to start praying for cold weather and hard ice?

TennJed's rumor is correct. Hockey Day will be Hibbing v. Eagan and Benilde St. Margarets v. Grand Rapids. Gophers are hosting North Dakota that day. I hope the Wild are hosting Washington or Pittsburgh that day.

I'd rather see Winnipeg, Dallas, Chicago, St. Louis or Detroilet.

Just as I requested for the Wild game:

Hockey Day Minnesota full schedule

Eagan vs. Hibbing
Benilde-St. Margaret's vs. Grand Rapids

North Dakota at Minnesota

Pittsburgh at Wild

Great matchups!
It's got it all. North vs. South. Big city vs. small town. Private vs. public. Gophers vs. the f-ing Sue. Two of the best players on the planet, Malkin & Crosby, in St. Paul. Hockey outside, at Mariucci and the Xcel. Fantastic.

Even better game, tonka vs. GR. BSM stays home and watches from their 60in plasma tv's with high def and surround sound.

I don't have a boxer in the fight, but a Tonka kid calling BSM kids out on being affluent is a prototypical pot/kettle/black statement.

Not every one from minnetonka is rich. I only have a 52" 720p plasma tv and no diving board for my pool.

Tonka

Skipperj is correct. An independent study show that 85% of the homes in Minnetonka have 19" black and white TVs with rabbit ear antennas. For hockey day Benilde will be seen wearing dark gray uniforms and Grand Rapids will be in light gray.

Sounds like a great line up. Tonka had their chance last year even got to host it. It should be teams that have not particiated before.

I'll forward the link for a food stamp application.

Someone should tell Skippy that before Tonka plays anyone they need to go back to Mariucci and pick up the pieces.
