Good for Rosemount. This will help them in keeping kids there. They have a good crop of kids coming up. I hear Stepan is pretty wild in terms of hockey dad/coach. Intense, abrasive and outspoken.

Sometimes that is the best thing for the kids.

Very good player, played vs a few times growing up. Hard shot.

Brad Stepan will do a great job in his new position. This guy is so passionate about kids and hockey it's crazy. I only wish we could of kept him in Hastings. I sure hope he stays with Hastings program and continues with the In House Squirt program that he has finally got passed last month at the board meeting. Knowing Brad like I do, my guess is that he will stay and get this program off the ground. I hope all of you that thought you might get a year or two with Matt Larson as your A peewee coach are not counting on it because he will be one of Step's asst. for sure. Good luck Step's. Rosemount knocked this hire out of the park!

He was an assistant at Henry Sibley for their state tourney team in 1997. Hell of a coach, understands players strengths and weaknesses. He was always open to talk to players about issues on and off the ice. And yes he has a hell of a shot!

Congrats to Brad, he's a great guy who will do amazing things as head coach. To bad he didn't take over the Hastings program, it's time for someone new to take Welch's spot. It will be a double loss if the peewee program loses Larson. Who would take over his position?

Wildone - you must have grown up in Hastings back in the mid 80's. The only thing you had right was he HAD a good shoot back in the 80's. Not a real high character guy if you really know your coaches. His son is a stud but Brad has a lot of maturing to do. He most likely took this job because Rosemount has a very solid group of 1st and 2nd year Bantams coming up. Timing is everything! Pauletti in Roseville, Stepan in Rosemount, Sagissor in Stillwater??? I say Williams in Hastings!!!! Class of '86 ROCKS!
