Sponsored by the National Sport Center, Intensity Camp is for traveling level youth players looking to boost their individual skills.

Intensity Hockey
Session I: June 18 – June 28, 2012

Intensity Hockey is designed to aggressively advance individual player skills and conditioning. The program is placed during the AAA mid-summer break which will offer continued individual player skill development.

Skater Schedule
» Three days per week for two weeks
(Mite/Squirt 2 days per week for two weeks)
» Two hours on-ice per day
» 60 minutes - Skating
» 30 minutes - Stick Handling
» 30 minutes – Small Area Games (SAG)
Goalie Schedule
» Three days per week for two weeks
» 30 minutes of FHIT dynamic warm-up off-ice
» One hour on-ice per day
» 30 minutes of 3:1 ratio of MEGA on-ice instruction
» 30 minutes of small area games with MEGA
» Goalie training provided by Minnesota Elite Goalie Academy (MEGA)
Specific Skill Focuses
» Skating – Explosive starts, turns and stops, forward and backward strides, overspeed
» Stick-handling – Proper mechanics, dribbling, dekes and fakes, puck control
» Small area games – Heads up play, footwork and multi-tasking

» Mite/Squirt
» Peewee
» Bantam/High School
» Girls 10U/12U
Fees
» $189 per session
» $339 for both sessions when you apply for both at the same time (10% discount)
» Mite/Squirt $126 per session, $227 when you apply for both at the same time.

Seems like a good value... 12 hours of on-ice for $189.00 or 24 hours for $339.00. Sure beats the $35.00 - $40.00 per hour rate you see the Kool Aid Guzzlers swilling down. One question - Who are the instructors? :?:

Placed during mid summer break to improve mite and squirt skills...we've become so shortsighted on what this is doing to our kids...
