Which association will dominate the youth hockey in 2012-13

In 2011-12 season, it was Edina in squirt and Bantam, and Prior Lake in Peewee who dominated the entire levels.
What is the landscape for 2012-13 season?

It is not intend to create a thread for bashing here, buddy. Has Tonka dominated in hockey at any level recently? All others mentioned have merits.

ok, over zelious I suppose. I would just like to thank edina for having two squirt a teams. Definately will help. If they could do that for peewees and bantams also, we would all appreciate it.

Easiest to predict is Pee Wee's and it will be those pesky Hornets. The gang will be back together again from their first undeafeated squirt a season from 10-11, which was the more dominant of the last two undefeated squirt a teams there. So expect much of the same, maybe not undeafeated in a 60 game schedule, but they'll be close. Hopefully some other teams have closed the gap.
At Bantams, Edina won it in 10-11, and they'll have most of that squad back. It depends with Farmington if their two elite 98's move to the varsity, if they are at Bantam (but I highly doubt with the desperation of that program) they will be in the hunt. Then the usual suspects like Elk River, Wayzata, maybe Prior Lake, and EP.
At squirt, it's the hardest to predict, because they are squirts! Edina will be down with the two teams, but both will still be good, Maple Grove will be in the mix, Rosemount will be good, Jefferson will surprise, Andover will be up there and Eden Prairie will be good. Should be fun to watch!

I am not so sure about that. They may lose a couple second years to the varsity ranks again and there is a rumor that Bellows will be at Shatuck next year. I see a potential fall off for Edina bantams at both A and B1 due to lost depth.

I thought Bellows/Giles/Nanne/Fidler were tight. The kid is very good. Big strong I could see him playing varsity next year.

No way can you count out Edina. They lost Walker, Malmquist, Jungles at Bantams and still won the State!!! They will still be tough to beat. Watch out for the Bantam A team in Burnsville this year.
The best overall programs will be Edina and Prior Lake in the metro.

To answer your question. D6 will have the best teams at every level this year.

That is like answering the question about who the best soccer team in the world is, your answer is in Europe and South America. Edina and PL are at the top of D6.

D8-can hold their own/woodbury/Rose/Farm/Eagan/Hast/, but yes D6 is the top of the state.
