Unfortunately, I don't think it is. Looks like I'll have to settle for Benilde/Tonka for my evening hockey-viewing.

As for East-EP, as usual, these teams are incapable of playing a boring game. Plenty of good action, pretty clean, and more solid East defense. I know that posting this will be the kiss of death, but the East PK is now up to 94%. It's certainly one of the best I've seen out of a high school team. Parker had one of his best games of the year in this one, and East did what they do--dominate play, wear the other team down, scraped out a few goals, and then went into shutdown mode. The second goal was very nice, with some great work in the corner by Chartier, who fed a pass out to Kolar in the slot.

EP played sharp D most of the game, clogging up the slot and beating up the Hounds' player camped out in front, but when a team generates that many chances, it's hard not to let a few through. EP's top line had some good flashes, though the lower lines didn't generate much serious pressure. Still, I do think they're better than the record suggests. They'll give someone some trouble before all is said and done.

Wayzata 3, Hill 1. Shots slightly in favor of Wayzata (32-28, I think). Pretty good game, although Hill looked flat, especially in the last two periods. Wayzata looked good, not great.

Oh joy. Ranking is going to be fun this week. Curious to hear from our Eagan fans (and any Eastview people who might be out there!) after this one.

The Eagan loss seems less troubling than Duluth East's loss to Denfeld, given that Eastview was at least in your "next ten" category and Denfeld is a 1A team outside the top 10. I'm guessing the losses were similar in nature -- in-town rivals, one team with nothing to lose and everything to gain, the other team over-confident.

Eagan had 66 shots. EV empty netter and some bounces.

I say drop em. It's just a poll, means nothing, and these guys are annoying.
