Final:
Denfeld 5
Hibbing 1
shots -33-18 in favor of Denfeld.
Johnson didn't play tonight, out sick.
Hmm...Looks like it will most likely be Defeld and D. Marshall battling for the top in section 7A.

Tightly called game, but not tight enough from letting stuff get out of hand by the refs. That shouldn't happen. That crew needs to grow a pair and step in, not just blow whistles.
Hermantown needs to learn not to take so many stupid penalties. Big win for Superior and there will be a new Lake Superior Conference champ for sure this year. SOG were around 40-19 Hermantown... Hermantown never led, were down 2-0 after 1, scored 2 goals in around 20 sec to tie at 2 mid 2nd, Hermantown gave up a break away shorty...gave up a pp, 4-2 in third, scored on a pp around 4min left, 4-3 then it looked like they were turning it on... way too late. Pulled goalie about 1:30 left, Superior netted an EN with :44 left, Hermantown scored with 31.7 left to make it 5-4 and almost tied it with about 2 tics left...Hermantown had a top player out due to injury-occured vs. Rapids last Tues. I won't elaborate, if he or his family wants to comment that's their choice. You won't get it from me. That kid wasn't the difference, lessons are being learned in Hermantown without the 15 seniors they had last year.

Grand Rapids and Cloquet ended in an OT tie.. .think it was 5-5
Announcers said Cloquet had around a 32-28 sog adv. at end of regulation, Rapids had first 8/9 shots in OT, cloquet then had a few shots.
