Who wins the SEC? It looks like a a bunch of average to below average teams.

In looking at the standings on Hockey Hub, It's pretty tight. WBL has played less conf. games than some of the other teams. They have not played Stillwater or Park at all yet. If WBL were to win tonight agianst Stillwater, That would tightin things up even more.

WBL is 7 points behind MV in the conference standings. WBL still has to play MV (at MV), Hastings (at Hastings), Stillwater and Flake.

Do you think WBL has any kind of a chance in the conference?

They are 0-3 in section play and in danger of getting the #5 seed.

Danger? it could be lower than that. HM, Tartan, MV, RV, SW will more than likely be ahead of WBL, unless the bears can find a way to beat SW twice. But then again, if they get hot from here on out, they could end up with the 3 seed.

Yes, they re 7 points behind, but have played 3 less games that MV. Yes, they have a chance, however slim. All I'm saying is the race could be alot tighter. MV jus lost to Cretin, and I expect they could lose a few more.

It looks like its going to be close. WB seems to be getting thing together and MV and SW look like they are on the way down. It look like a three team race. CDH,WB and RV.

Da Orange Bears are hot..big 6-1 win last night over Stillwater.
I'm thinking after close games with Grand Rapids, Edina and Duluth East that the SEC is just easy for them at this point...scoring goals is no issue. Could be a late run for this group to seed well for sections

Expect White Bear to get the #2 seed and win SEC. They are really playing well defensively. Against Edina and East they limited rebound chances and didn't allow anyone to camp in front of the net. Edina's goals were on the power play and the East goals I saw were on rushes. If I were Hill-Murray I'd start to worry.

Hll-Murray doesn't worry over things they can't control. Their focus is trying to get better each day. Come sections, they will take it 1 shift at a time...1 period at a time...and 1 game at a time. :D

I said it right after the Pioneers blew the Bears out that I fully expect HM & WB to meet again in sections and that game will be much closer. It just wouldn't be right if they didn't meet in sections.

Actually I am...and portions of my money go to make sure coaches like Housley & Sager remain where they are.

But I'm serious, has Stillwater won a game since Housley has been back? I'm not sure of when he actually returned.

Not sure of the date Housley returned; however, I do know that Stillwater's last win was January 5th versus East Ridge (5-2).

Since then, they are 0-4.

Pretty sure Stillwater was playing better when Team USA was playing also. And Housley has not won a game since being back.

If Hill met WB at the Coliseum and WB came in to the game with two wins and one tie, I'd fully expect a close game. It's the only game the Bears care about all season. For them, it's the Super Bowl, Stanley Cup, and World Series all rolled into one. If they win, the game at the X and the two at Mariucci are merely icing on the cake.

Coaches in Section 4AA may want to see someone other than the Bears get the #2 seed, just for a little variety. If the Bears get the #8 seed, they see the Pioneers in the quarters. That would be a first.

They better beat Moundsview tonight if they even want to be in the conversation for the 2 or 3 seed.

I hate to say it, but Tartan will probably get the #2 seed. They only have 2 losses so far this year, even though It is agianst weaker teams.

I don't see WB losing to MV. MV hasn't played very well lately and don't seem to be able to turn things around. They will no longer be a factor in the SEC.
Don't forget about RV.

  if you put them in the SEC they might be a 500 team. I don't see them getting higher them a 5 seed.
