No comment on who wins from me Sid Da Kid. However just letting you know The Center is producing the game and will be live on Prep45.
Should be good one. Lets hear you on the broadcast tonight either via Twitter @mnhockeycenter or email booth@grandstadium.tv

0-0 after 1. No penalties in the first, either; a lot of feeling out going on here. Edina did a better job of establishing its forecheck and had a few more good chances, but nothing Tonka can't handle yet. Urick is making liberal use of the last line change and making sure the Coatta line isn't out there against Edina's Nanne line, while Giles started with the apparent intent to shut down the Tonka to group.
I am now being treated to a superb Mite game, though I do wonder if they ever plan to get the Zamboni out and get on with the high school game...

Tonka very sluggish in the first period but came out in the second a different team. Shots tied at 18-18 after two with a score of 2-1 Tonka. Third period will be very physical

2-1 Tonka after two. Each team scored on its top line's first shift, and the Skippers broke the tie on a 5-on-3 PP. Special teams have been the difference in this one so far, as Tonka's PP has been sharp, while Edina's...not so much. Shots are dead even at 18, and in general that was a better period for the Skippers, even at 5-on-5.
I also appreciated Pete Waggoner's magically dropping voice on the highlight reel after the 2nd.

Doesn't get much better than that. Thanks to the Skippers for treating me to two fantastic games this week. Scoring depth will be a key for them down the stretch, and they got some tonight, with Ridge (as the extra attacker) and Huminski getting the tying and winning goals. Their lower lines do a great job on the forecheck, and it was good to see them get rewarded win some points for their efforts.
Malmquist had a heroic night in defeat for the Hornets. They certainly had their chances, but were a bit shakier in their own zone, and that ended up making the difference.

The kind of game that reminds you just how great the game is. Felt like Tourney time for sure. Both teams played like it was an elimination game.

Tonka gets #1 seed if EP beats BSM and Tonka beats EP again. There's a chance that Hopkins earns the #5 seed now with Holy Family's loss to Mound tonight.

BB Seeds as of 2-2-13:
1) BSM - could drop to #2 with an Ep loss or Tonka sweep of the Lake Conf.
2) Tonka - Could move up to #1 (see above)
3) Wayzata - appears to be locked in for the #3 seed
4) Ep - Could move up to the #3 with wins over BSM and Wayzata
5) HF - No more chances for this team to move up and secure a home QF game. No wins over ranked AA teams.
6) Hopkins - A win in the Lake Conference could boost them up to the #5 seed
7) Rest of the field...

EP is finally playing like everyone thought they would, which explains the Hopkins game. HF not much to say, just an off night?

This game was payback from the game with "the hit" that wasn't a check from behind
Mound is a solid club and maybe there was some letdown from the BSM game where HF battled hard...

Highlights can be found above ^^^
Like others have said, I thank both teams for providing me with the best game I've seen all year. From the third period into overtime, there was definitely a playoff atmosphere inside Pagel- I've never heard that place louder than when Jared Ridge scored the tying goal with 20 seconds left.
Minnetonka and Edina both have two very talented squads and this year, Minnetonka got the better of the luck in both Lake Conference contests.
New Standings:
Minnetonka (5-0)
Edina (3-2)
Wayzata (2-2)
Eden Prairie (2-3)
Hopkins (0-5)
A win on Thursday against Hopkins locks up the Lake Conference title for Minnetonka. Then, they will have two more games (Wayzata, EP) to win it outright.

Excellent game, I am just upset I did not drive over to see it. In my opinion Tonka comes out of 6AA. I said it earlier, they should be a team that is watched....
