Jefferson PW AA downs Top 10 ranked Prior Lake tonight 3-1 in a knockout game. I guess Prior Lake was a one year wonder. I'll go out on a limb and say this is a preview of what will happen in Bantam next year when they lose 3-4 of their top players (move-in's) to various high schools. That being said, Bantams still have a very good shot at getting another title. It was good while it lasted though.

Jeffersons goal tending is what they are riding right now.. Prior Lake while a much improved team could not get it done. Yeah I agree they lost too much at the peewee level and just could not get it done. Believe me I am not crying this morning

Hopefully they (kids and parents) will now become a little humble and won't act like they won a state title when they win a scrimmage. Karma a B. Awesome win Jags.

One goal given to BJ on a very long whistle. One goal taken away from PL on a very short whistle. BJ was out shot and out played. That's hockey. That's life. Major props to Jeff goalie. He was awesome! Go Jefferson in regionals!

. While I agree their big goalie is awesome who they have been playing all year until last night and tonight when they are using the girl to get into what they presume is the weak region.. Um no lets not GO Jefferson. Sad

"Tip of the cap to Jeff Goalie?", "He was awesome!". Was not the girl goalie playing the EP game?
You are probably at the Tonka game tonight, let us know if he or she was awesome!

First of all, quick whistle short whistle guy slow whistle guy, the refs in the PL/Jeff game were terrible both ways. Everyone can agree on that. To suggest that they screwed PL is a waste of time and laughable. Any hockey player who has played the game knows that it was close and Jefferson converted and PL didn't. Seen it a million times and been on both sides.
Second of all, Jefferson out shot PL, go ask your manager for the score sheet. God only knows she has one, stuffed in that parka of hers.
As for our goalie being incredible. Yes, he can be a game changer. But in a game with both teams got around 20 shots, game changer he was not. He made the necessary saves. It's hard to get that tag on 20 shots. We tied Tonka this year and he had 33 saves, that's a game changer IMO.
Tonight's game:
5-4 Tonka. Our 'girl goalie' played and played well. We took the lead 1-0, they scored 4 straight. We made it 4-2. #10 scored 20 seconds later to make 5-2. We scored once with 7 to go and once with 5 to go. Got a PP and and threatened, but did not score. Close game at the end. Score not indicative of how one sided it was most of the game.
Early on the game smelled like a fix, neither team played very hard at all. It was smelly. But the minute we scored, the Tonka pride took over and they smoked us for the next 2+ periods.
For us, scoring two late goals and putting a scare into them was probably good for our confidence heading into next weekend.
I don't think it was fixed. Both teams used their second goalies, but how can you blame a coach for that, those two probably won't see a lot of ice until losers bracket of state assuming 1 or both can make it that far.

Wow this quite entertaining fodder but it will be interesting to see if the "fix" pays off.
After reading this I had to see if it was happening in the Bantan AA bracket.....no such luck the top 3 Prior Lake/Edina winner gets the #1 loser #2 and Burnsville won the #3 slot in East.......I guess they all figure they are good enough to play it straight up. Kudo's to that group!

What are you guys doing in Bloominton to train goalies? Bantam AA goalie fantastic, Bantam B1 goalie fantastic, PWAA goalie probably the best in D6. I may be mistaken but isn't the PL Bantam AA goaler a Bloomington product? Oh and by the by giving up 5 goals isn't "played well" unless your groovin for 4 seed to get a shot at state.
