Apollo's goalie played phenomenal and their team outworked LF but I was amazed at how often the refs waived off icing. The Flyers have to be steaming about that since two of the goals they allowed came right after icing was waived off at the last second.

They have no one to blame but themselves on that, they know the rules and the refs rightfully so caught on to the lack of effort being given there and called them on it.

Great game by Apollo and even happier to see the 29 year curse over for the Eagles!

Awesome game for the Eagles.

Hard not to give the first star to Omann but the guy who really impressed me tonight was Paul Kenney. He makes the right decision with the puck every time. I think he's a lot of fun to watch.

I'm not surprised as Apollo has a nice team with some good young players like Omann, Bissett and Breidenbach to go along with the older guys like Kenney and Christen. Additionally, Althaus played incredibly tonight as he was the key for their success. I think he, Omann and Kenney are the three stars of the game tonight.

Obviously a tough road to hoe ahead as they'll see the competition get better from here on out but it's definitely good for the program. Pete has done a great job with that program after some down years and a couple coaches. This was a great win for their program.

Hopefully the Crusaders can hammer out another win tomorrow and we can get two teams from St. Cloud in the state tournament. It would be great for hockey in the city.
