SCC won the regular season meeting 5-4 in OT. Hermantown won the last playoff meeting in 2011 7-1. Any thoughts?

Should be a good game and Swingle wants a crack at playing in the X.
I see Cathedral winning this one 4-3.

Hermantown deeper. SCC more top end talent up front. Should be the best class A final as I still feel these are two top five teams.
I've predicted Hermantown but I like to see that Cathedrals top players have picked it up of late.

this will easily be the best section A final. both teams are top 10 in the state, and have already played a close game this year.
with that being said. it all comes down to goaltending. i havent seen hermantown play this year, but over the years goaltending has been their weak spot.
cathedral on the other hand has two solid tendys. amundson and robak have both had great years this year.
will hermantown be able to shut down pogo and co?
my prediction:
Cathedral 5 (EN)
Hermantown 3
pogo with two and an assist

If Hermantown shuts down SCC's first line, I feel the 2nd and 3rd lines are deeper for Hermantown. 5-2 win for Hermantown.

It'll be interesting to see how the goaltending in this game plays out.
The first time around the goaltending was suspect both ways when Robak squared off with Thomas. I'm guessing that Smith will man the net for the Hawks. I've got no clue who will be between the pipes for Cathedral. They have been rotating all year between Amundson and Robak. Amundson can change the dynamic of a game with his ability to play the puck and perhaps they'll change up the rotation as Robak played the last game against Hermantown...both have been good and perhaps they'll just continue the rotation.

That game was a long time ago. Since then, Herm has shut down Totino’s Roo, Cloquet’s Kuhlman and Hibbing’s Johnson.
Hermantown will be more that ready do the same with SCC’s Poganski and company.
SCC can’t match Hermantown’s depth at forward or defense.
Hermantown has also been solid between the pipes with Smith.
It should be a barn burner! I’m picking Hermantown over SCC 4-0.
Cathedral's first line put up 4 against Hermantown last time. I do not think either team is going to get shut out. Cathedral is more top heavy while Hermantown has more depth. This game will come down to the 2nd and 3rd lines.

Cathedral team defense has improved substantially this year. The first 15 games Cathedral gave up 2.5 goals/game. They only gave up half that for the last 12. This will be a great game but Cathedral wins.

According to 1390 the FAN (St. Cloud) website....the game will be broadcast on AM 1240 WJON in St. Cloud. I'd imagine it would be available online at
www.wjon.com.
Hope that helps.

Hermantown 3 SCC 0 after 2. Shots 18-16 SCC. Poganksi getting a little frustrated.
