Evidently the ice is out at Braemar West again.
Rumor has it that Art Downey - Legendary Edina High School Swim and DIVE coach , will now be in attendance Friday to scout the PEEWEE Hornets new found skills.

I know that had problems with the ice a month or so ago. Is the ice really out on the West rink?

Enjoyed reading the preview, but one of the author's picks was outrageous and completely undercuts his credibility.
Duluth East over Centennial? C'mon, man!

I think the author's picks are tongue in cheek. If not, Fred hasn't watched as much PW hockey as in past season's. I get the whole let's pick against the Russians bit, I'm on board, but like GJ said "C'mon Man"!

I can buy the East pick.
I think Tonka takes care of STMA.

I talked to the infamous F61 today and when he told me his picks...I hit the guard rail near the Lowry Tunnel. Tune in Wednesday for MY picks on all things u12, peewee and bantam.
I will have a couple surprise picks and a couple picks that may make you hurl (the thought of one of them makes me queasy....just thinking about it).

If PeeWee's did the same thing as high school what do you think the seedings would be?
#1 edina (beat everybody)
#2?...
#3?...
#4?...
#5...
wayzata (3 - 0 vs tonka, 1 - 3 vs cent)
centennial (3 - 1 vs wayzata, 0 - 2 vs tonka)
tonka (2 - 0 vs cent, 1 - 0 - 1 vs DE, 0 - 3 vs wayzata)
grand rapids (2 - 0 vs DE, 1 - 0 vs tonka, 0 - 1 vs wayzata)

I think Frederick61 writes for the National Enquirer... just trying to get attention by not picking Edina. Everybody knows Edina will win it.

I think Fred picked these on opposite day, the chances of the two district 5 teams winning a combined one game is ten times more likely then Fred's bracket picks.

That's a negative ghost rider.
East will fall ... at least until all the Superior kids join up in HS.
And STMA over Tonka.
That's the bottom line, cause DrGaf said so.

I can buy the East pick.
Why is a youth team in Duluth called East? Isn't there a single Youth Hockey Association in Duluth? Get it together.

Didn't Freddie say in his Region Picks that Edina's biggest weakness was their defense? They gave up 2 goals in Regions, Fred.

Fred's a clown...he posted on one of my PWAA team's games this year and was so far off on the actuality of the game it wasn't funny.
Edina does not get beat...simple as that. Fred has his "homers"..maybe they bought him that hat
Love the write ups Fred, but get your facts straight and more people will respect your input.

I love Fred's dedication to youth hockey. I know I wouldn't do what he does, nor do I have the time. But my son plays (played) for the LVN team he keeps referencing. I was at that game. I have no idea what he's talking about as far as how that game played out. We did play very well. But I don't ever remember thinking we had a chance to beat the Soviets... ("If we played them 10 times, they might win 9. But not tonight!")
