No offense to any of the schools...but I imagine the NCAA and espn are not happy about the teams in the tourney. Not much of a draw I would think.

I agree.... these schools are playing good hockey right now but honestly the "names" involved are one giant yawn fest. Heck even college hockey fans that I know are telling me they probably won't be watching. I know I'll miss tonights games due to kids activites (might DVR them if I remember), I will try and watch the finals though

Personally I don't care if they're not the traditional "big names". In fact I think it's good for the game to have some new blood in the tournament, and since Minnesota didn't make it I'm really glad that B.C., Michigan, Wisconsin and North Dakota didn't either! Plus we do have a Minnesota-based team in the mix, to cheer for, or not - I know I will be!

Right with you MNF. It will be some good hockey. These teams down had mostly dominant scores down the stretch against strong teams. Its true lots of fans are tied up in the teams, but for any fan of hockey this will be a good finish to watch.

Yale was very fast and skilled in beating Mass-Lowell 3-2 in O.T. - they definitely deserved the win.

It would be great if St. Cloud could get past Quinnipiac and then take on Yale in the final. If they do the two Armstrong grads (Fallen and Thorson) would get the chance to go head-to-head in the National Championship game (who ever would have thunk it?).

P.S. What a shame to see all those empty seats, even in the lower section!

Never said it was bad for college hockey, just said lots of people wont care to watch. As you are noticing by the empty seats...Everyone over here is saying who is Quinnipiac. At the same time everyone over there is saying who is st cloud state.

Well my hoped for matchup won't happen as on this night the Bobcats were a little too much for the Huskies. I don't think it was 4-1 game but more a matter of Quinnipiac capitalizing on more of their chances than St. Cloud, which had more than enough of their own to win the game. It sure wasn't a lack of effort that cost them, and they can hang their heads high for giving it all they had.

I thought it was all of a 4-1 game and then some...I thought quinnipiac looked really good!! I don't think it was st clouds best game obviously, but quinnipiac played really well.

Won't be saying who is Q anymore. They have been dominant all season and continue to play like champs when it counts.

Obviously this game has no bearing on the Hobey Baker winner, but Hartzell looked very good, whereas LeBlanc was missing in action.

Go Bears!

Since I know everyone would or has ripped apart the gophers for their big players disappearing or not playing well...

I noticed Jensen was on the ice for at least 3 of the 4 goals, maybe all 4.

Leblanc and hanowski??

From watching the NCAA playoffs I would say the 2 best teams are playing for the champioship. Yale really seems to be peaking at the right time and has really looked dominant. In their victories they have definintly been the better team.

Well as a prognostication group we went zero for ten!

Congrats to Yale on their wonderful run to the national championship. 16th seed coming in but got hot at the perfect time.

After the first few games I made the comment that this tournament can be a real crapshoot, and it sure was all the way through. The Gopher and North Dakota losses to Yale don't look nearly as bad in retrospect now.

Congrats to Yale. It's the end of an era for college hockey...we'll see how things start to take shape with the new conferences next season.
