Hmmm, what the player who threw the punches did is not part of hockey....... His punishment from the league and team should eb much more severe and honestly he looks like a kid who needs some counseling. On the flip side I can't go along with levying criminal charges, not even in this instance.... the game does need to change in some ways and stuff like this can't be tolerated but considering what players are taught to do and what they see on the ice all the way up through the pros tthe punsihments and the changes need to happen within the game not the courts. Doesn't seem right to criminally punish a kid who was probably TAUGHT that what he did was the right thing to do withint he context of the game. If the kdi is an otherwise normal kid with no violent history outside the rink then he needs a longer suspension, the coaches need to have some punishments levied by the league against them, and perhaps some counseling but no more than that IMHO.... probably a good wakeup call case thoughsavagegopher wrote:http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/highschoo ... 10491.html
