WBL/CDH/Eastridge should all be tough. FL needs solid goaltending to be in it.

this will be an interesting conference this winter. any given day most of these teams will battle for the top spot. Don't count Mounds View or Forest Lake out. Both have pretty strong group of SR's leading the way. Both have above average goaltenders. if injuries occur that could change the tables fast. should be fun to watch I'm sure it will be a very close battle. Best of luck to all teams.

Should be a pretty even conference this year. But I would give the goaltending advantage to White Bear or Forest Lake. Defensive advantage I would have to go with Stillwater or Roseville.

The high school league is going to allow STA to play in the Metro East & Suburban East conferences next year? That'll be interesting.

The SEC should be
1. White Bear Lake
2nd to last. Everyone else
JW is the best offensive player in the conference and should pile up
points night in and night out, couple that with a solid goalie and gritty team and they are the top dog going into the year.
I'd expect pretty much every game on the schedule to be anyones guess until some teams start pulling away in January.
I just know that the out of conference schedule for CDH is brutal but awesome at the same time, should be an interesting season.

I agree, this year WB will be tough. Not sold yet on Cretin, i think after WB every game will be up for grabs. thats what makes this game interesting.

No. The Pionner Press had a report earlier this week that the MSHSL meeting took place. STA made their argument that they want to go back to the the Metro East. The Metro East, South Suburban and Suburban East all made their arguments why they don't want STA. The report is that the meeting was amicable and STA will accept whatever decision is made. That decision is supposed to be announced in 2 weeks or so.

Just to finish up the STA point and get back on topic. STA has been placed into the Metro East Conference as of today. It was the correct decision based on the criteria. Keeping STA, losing Richfield, and adding Hastings makes for a more competitive conference overall.

So weak. Happy to keep playing the Pioneers/Zephyrs I guess but I would've liked a move to the SEC or SSC.

Bears for sure. We all know Wahlin is great but Dittel and Giller had good seasons as well. Plus Gorman looked really good last year, hopefully he can replicate that form and even be better.

I don't think CDH is getting enough love in this forum... They're returning 15 players and are going to have very good goaltending. I'm thinking it should come down to the wire between WBL and CDH, both are high quality teams.

Well WBL/Whalin/Dittle look great. FL tied CDH last night. Next two weeks should tell us about the conference. Stillwater may be a team to watch.

Good to see WBL off to a fast start. Hopefully they can continue to roll and handle the evil empire come late February!! Skilled offensively but will need to tighten things up with the defensive play.

Cretin F-Lake game last night was a classic...great game. Flake puts up 3 in about 4 minutes and is looking at a 9-1 blowout but CDH battles back hard and ends up in a 3-3 tie after OT..crazy game, was a blast to watch.

Cretin - F-Lake game fun to watch. Looked like FL was going to take it to Cretin after period 1. FL some very skilled hard working forwards some on the smaller side, but very skilled and quick. Goaltending good on both ends, although Cretin's tender had to make a couple BIG saves to preserve the tie. This is always a great conference a team can never take a night off. Packed arena with a good Cretin student section.

The Jan. 11th WBL/Cretin game will be played outside at TCF stadium as part of the Hockey City Classic. Don't know about time or Tv coverage.
