Anyone know what's coming up in the next couple weeks for scrimmages? I know Rapids usually hosts one two weekends before the season with Hill Murray and Hibbing visiting among some others.

H-M will be in Grand Rapids on 11/15 Not sure of time.

Cloquet hosts one too with Binelde, Eagan, Hermantown and others attending every year.

kniven, are you going to stream the scrimmages? Any chance the games will be higher definition this year? I'm getting a very high speed connection for streaming and I watch most hd streaming on my lte network w/o buffering.

Yes I will be streaming the Lumberjack scrimmage games, which their are typically 3. The software I use is very complex. It seems that when I stream in HD, the software automatically dumbs it down based on Internet speed. I will tell you that when you watch the stream on a smartphone, it looks HD. On an ipad, still very good. It's when you go bigger on the screen, the less quality. Play by play will be added to the streams this year courtesy of WKLK.

Forest Lake usually goes up to Rapids for the weekend but instead FL will play down in the Burnsville scrimmages against Park, Chanhassen, Lakeville North, and Burnsville.

Chan will scrimmage FL, Burnsville and Lakeville North

So only 2 scrimmages for H-M? Not scrimmaging Hibbing?

I was surprised too, usually Rapids would have scrimmages thru Sunday morning at home. Maybe these teams are playing in Hibbing or Duluth on the weekend?

Many teams in Duluth / Hermantown on 11/15 - 11/16 for the Northland Scrimmage Festival. Stillwater, East Ridge, Mahtomedi, Mounds View, Rosemount, New Prague all heading up North. Hermantown, Marshall and Denfeld hosting. Games spread across Amsoil, Seitz, Sill, Lakeview and Hermantown arenas from Fri afternoon to Sat afternoon.

So, same teams that have scrimmaged at EP last couple of years? Guess it shortens the commute for East.

Scrimmages at Cloquet second weekend include Eagan.

Got the exact times from the rink manager. H-M and GR have a longer scrimmage time.

1:30 – 2:30 GR vs Hibbing
3:00 – 4:40 GR vs. Hill Murray
5:00 – 6:00 Cloquet vs. Hill Murray
6:10 – 7:10 GR vs. Cloquet

Anyone have the times for the scrimmages at St louis Park (Benilde) Friday and Saturday?

Friday Scrimmages include BSM, Blaine, Minnetonka and STA.

The BSM team plays at 5:45pm against Blaine and at 9pm against STA.

Saturday scrimmages include BSM, Minnetonka, Totino Grace, and Andover.

BSM plays Minnetonka at 11:30am and Andover at 2pm.

There are scrimmages Friday and Saturday in Duluth being hosted by Denfeld and Marshall. Denfeld's start mid afternoon Friday and morning through mid afternoon Saturday. Marshall has games at MARS and Amsoil on Friday, just MARS on Saturday.

Times?

Just wondering if anybody knows if streaming HS hockey scrimmages is legal according to MSHSL. I was going to stream Cloquet-HM at 5 and Cloquet-GR at 6:15 tomorrow from Grand Rapids. Any feedback would be appreciated.
