The results of Week 1 are in.
The winner is InYourFace09 with 8 points out of a possible 9. (I threw out the Breck-Holy Family game, which ended in a tie.)

Week 2 results:
We have a 4-way tie for 1st place between
InYourFace09,
elliott70,
GTTN, and
hockeyman84.
Not only that, three of them picked the exact same tiebreaker score. Sooo...awkward tie at the top this week. Apparently I need to pick better tiebreakers, and maybe throw in a few harder games...
They all had 8 correct picks, and the CDH-Flake game got tossed because it was a tie. The one that tripped everyone up was Burnsville-Wayzata...in fact, I think only one person (Slammer) called that one correctly. If you're looking for an edge, it might be worthwhile to see who other people are picking.

Week 3 results...we had two people score an 8, elliott70 and codemanh.
Tiebreaker: total shots in the EGF-Breck game.
elliott's pick: 58
codemanh's pick: 48
Actual total: 59
So
elliott70 continues his hot start and jumps to the top of the table with 23 points total, 2 points clear of InYourFace09 and 4 points clear of the 8 people with 19 points.

Week 4 results:
I finally stumped a lot of you this week. Lots of very low point totals, which led to a lot more crowding at the top. Two ties helped depress the numbers, too. (Also, for future reference: you do have the option to pick a tie in a game if you like. I doubt your odds are very good, but you will get a point if you correctly pick a tie.)
We had five people tie with six correct picks:
hockeyman84, rinkrat 24/7, gitter, BP, and newcomer
hockey922.
By virtue of the tiebreaker,
rinkrat 24/7 is the winner, nailing the number of goals Benilde gave up last week. (8...a lot of you were rather uncharitable to the poor Red Knights.)
hockeyman84 has jumped to the top of the standings with a big week, and Elliott remains tied for the overall lead despite a 2-point week. Things have tightened up considerably:

Week 5 results:
Some big point totals with the special holiday tourney format, and
Zebos benefited the most with a 12-point week. Newcomer
NLHockey and overall points leader
hockeyman84 were right behind with 11 points.
Hockeyman, whom I think I have finally stopped shorting points for his week one performance, is now two points clear of elliott and InYourFace for the top spot, though there are plenty of people right behind that top group.

Week 6 results:
WHAFightingSaints wins the week with 8 points, edging out a whole bunch of people with 7, and sparing me the need to lecture everyone about their guesses on Eden Prairie's shot total against Duluth East. (They had 19...)
That moves WHA within one point of co-leaders
elliott70 and
hockeyman84, who are once again tied after a strong week by Mr. Elliott.
crw and
blueblood gained ground and are now within two points of the co-leaders, and
TTpuckster also made some progress toward fulfilling his New Year's resolution by moving past several people.
