Elks never do too well in this tourney. I'd love to see them turn things around against Brainerd. Go Elks!

This is a huge oppurtunity for Brainerd to get back in the hunt for a home playoff game. Brainerd needs to prove they can win against a big dog. Haven't done it yet this season, but they're closer than they've been in a while. Still, they seem like any other team that starts fast and will exit in round one of the playoffs. Brainerd will probably be outcoached in this one. But, in the words of Chris Berman, "it's why they play the games."

Brainerd 2
Elk River 1
<img src=

The two "big-time" teams that Brainerd played this year, they really held their own. They lost a TOUGH game to Forrest Lake where they outshot them 30-13. And lost by one.

They gave GR a scare where they kept up with them with 26-25 shots and lost in a game that could have went either way. Two goals barley trickled in, and of course they had an empty netter.

Brainerd is a threat to anyone who plays them within Section 7.

This is a big one for brainerd considering that they lost 2 close games in the section 7AA play against Flake and GR, i predict if brainerd comes to play and gets quality shots early on , this could be a barn burner...

brainerd 4
ER 3

It goes into the books as a tie, 2-2. Brainerd won the shootout in like the 9th round. So for section seedings it will, or atleast should be looked at as a tie, because there are no shootouts in other games. It's simply for tournaments. I know Warrior fans will want to say, ya but we won. Only the shootout, which is separate from the game. Elky is now 0-1-1 in 7AA. I believe Brainerd is now 0-2-1 in 7AA.
