Mankato West (9-0) vs Madison Edgewood (5-2) 12-26-13 3:15pm

The Scarlets of Mankato have cruised through a relatively easy schedule, amassing 5 shutouts and a 0.77 GAA in that time frame while averaging 7 goals a game. On Thursday they will play the Crusaders of Madison who are the #8 ranked team in WI. They have beaten the #7 team but lost to both the #1 team and the team who happens to be leading their conference at the moment. Should be a good MN/WI battle.

This should be an interesting matcup. This will be MW toughest test yet without a doubt. I think they survive, lets say 5-2. It figures to be a great tournament in Duluth. Good luck to all the teams.
Hopefully we get to see DM battle MW in the 2nd round. Thats the game I am dying to see!!

West wins 6-4. Shots were about 33-22.

Guess that won't be happening as it appears DM lost to Appleton, WI
