Let me see your olympic team of current NHLers (or wherever) from MN.

Of course, eras make it tough to compare. Not sure guys from the 30s would be able to compete with today's highly trained, equipped and much larger and faster skaters. advances for goalies in equipment, height and technique also give a huge edge to recent netminders.
Some slam dunks, I believe:
Neal Broten
Paul Martin
Phil Housley
TJ Oshie
Others can pick it up from there.

In addition to those defenseman, Dub, Jordan Leopold from Armstrong is worth considering.

An interesting side discussion: How would this team (MN Natives) fair in a season against the current NHL teams? Stanley Cup?

Not sure, but they'd be better than at least four of the Olympic teams.
Minnesota > Norway, Switzerland, Latvia, Slovenia, maybe Austria too.

A couple of alternatives for Frazee in nets...
John Curry
Mike Lee
Adam Wilcox
...it gets thin quickly after Stalock.
Defense is deep, no worries there.
Other forwards:
Travis Morin
Brandon Bochenski
Jordan Schroeder
Chris VandeVelde
Jamie Langenbrunner (retired, but only recently)
Anders Lee
All in all, I think DubCHAGuy picked a good team. RW is a bit thin, as Hanowski isn't quite ready for prime time. I'd probably use Bochenski who is doing fabulous in the KHL. Hendricks is a prototypical 4th line center, but Travis Morin would probably add more of a scoring punch. He had to leave some very good defensemen home. The backup goaltender would hopefully never play, but I'd probably put Curry ahead of Frazee. Wilcox, I regretfully admit, could probably give Lee and Curry a run for their money.

with as many good defenseman as MN has, they could almost play Byfuglien as a forward on the RW as a right handed shot.

How do you think they would do on the big ice. I know Hano played his college career on big ice, but he is not the fastest skater. Pretty nice list of players though.

Hano probably doesn't make the team, and I say that as a die-hard Husky fan. Bochenski is clearly a better option. Unless, for some reason, you're only counting players currently playing in America.
Many of these guys played their college hockey on Olympic sized ice, indluding: Backes, Cullen, Wheeler, Okposo, Bjugstad, Goligoski, McDonagh, Gardiner, Stepan, Martin, Johnson, Frazee, and Hendricks. If Hendricks loses his spot to Morin, then Morin too!
The Verizon Wireless Center, the Mariucci, and the HBNHC are all Olympic sized. The Kohl Center is close enough.

Very cool! They found a few more Minnesota forwards that we missed, most notably Ryan Carter. (Facepalm for missing him.) They also included JT Brown, Pat Eaves, Tyler Pitlick, Danny Kristo, and Tim Jackman (born in North Dakota, H.S. at Park Center).
At defense, they threw shout-outs to Mark Stuart, Tom Gilbert, Aaron Ness, and Nate Schmidt.
I think they messed up by omitting Bochenski. It's clear that they were researching N.A. leagues only.
They also took bardown27's suggestion and moved Byfuglien to forward.
