Brainerd VS Hill Murray game

A SAD LOSS

The Brainerd Warrior team played very well against a tough Hill Murray team. I listened to Keith on the Radio. He call a great game. Brainerd stayed right with them for the first two periods. It was 2-1 Hill Murray going into the start of the 3rd.
Hill Murray than just unloaded on Wichello with 3 very quick goals. Than Coach Ty brought in Snyder and they got one more after that. Final was 6-1 Hill Murray.

Overall it sounded like we did very well. We out shot them through the first two periods. But then the 3rd was all HM. They are a good team, but then if you couple that with it being the 3rd game in as many days I guess we came up short.

Way to go Warriors, you showed the rest of the state that we do play hockey in Brainerd, NOT pond hockey in Barnyard.

Peace

A Warrior Fan

That's the best place in Minnesota. I love the Twin Cities, only place I'd live if I had to move back to Minnesota.

the cities are nice, but central minnesota is much better IMO.

and about brainerd...im really glad that hill had the opportunity to play them. first time hills ever played them if i am not mistaken (the hill website said no previous meeting). i watched the ER-brainerd game. i watched the shootout. #4 ryan poltuma (sp?) looked good to me.

before the tourny i was sure hill would have been facing ER tonight...way to go brainerd.

i was hoping brainerd would beat AV too..i didnt think theyd be easier to beat, but i dont know, i just wanted to see hill-brainerd, and i really like the brainerd fans. what an enthusiastic crowd.

im proud of my pioneers
and im sorry..i have to include this. brainerd has the COOLEST street name in the world: easy street. am i right warrior fans?

If you want to LIVE in Minnesota, you have to be at least within 50 miles (on the south side) of Highway 2. The rest is Iowa.

<img src=

pioneers did exactly as they should have and disposed of an inferior team. nice tourney by the guys in green. i believe they showed that maybe they were in the wrong division.<img src=

I don't know, I thought Itchy & Scratchy was much better after Marge fixed it.

Packerboy, I was thinking the same thing about the Twin Cities traffic, it can be bad but it doesn't hold a candle to Chicago.

I was at the game last night, Brainerd was able to skate with the Pioneers for two periods, but Hill kicked in the afterburners in the 3rd to put it away. I was impressed with the play of Brainerd's no.11 (Sneep?) who handled the puck with a lot of poise. In my eyes, there's no question that Hill should have been in the Gold tier. Videoscout was hard at work for both games so I didn't get much chance to talk to him, but I think he said that Bluesbuddy was doing color for Brainerd radio, believe it or not.

Well, no wonder da bluesman hasnt been around. I am sure he is a natural in the booth.

Putting Videoscout's filmaking abilities and bluesbuddy's mastery of da Anglitch language together could create quite a stir.

Thanks for the update Chris. Its good to see Brainerd has a competitive team.

As far as traffic goes, if you really want to experience some bad stuff, just drive through Elk River about 5 PM on a Friday in the summer.

No matter how you wish to spin it, it was a 6-1 loss for Brainerd. All this talk about how they skated with Hill doesn't mean much to me. I think it shows that the Warriors are not in the upper echelon of teams that they and many of their supporters think they are. That is not to say they did not have a suprising show in this tourney. I for one have to pay BIAFP $1 for the Apple Valley loss and the Elks loss was just as suprising. That being said, I look for Brainerd to lose in the first round of sections when the cream rises to the top.

It was a 6-1 loss, but HM is probably the #2 team in state behind AHA.
It was impressive that they made it to the championship game by beating Elk River in a shootout,
and then they beat Apple Valley 4-3.
That proves that Brainerd is tough
<img src=
