Should be a great quarter final game in 6AA. Holy Family won the only meeting between these two in overtime. Tonight they are looking for their first ever win in section 6AA. I'll take the upset 3-2 Tonka.

I'm with you. I'm taking the Skippers.

Tough draw for the Fire. Skippers are still a very dangerous team even if they have lost 10 of their last 11. Holy Family had a great year, but did not play Eden Prairie, thus their 8-0 loss to Edina to start the year pushed them to the 3 seed. Big difference between playing Minnetonka and Robbinsdale Armstrong. Regardless it should be a great game. I'll take the Skippers to pick up the win in O.T.

5-0 now.
Changing of the guard, a bit, in 6AA?

Terrible game. Should have gone to Hopkins vs Benilde instead. Forget what shots were but I think 25 Minnetonka 24 Holy Fire. (Isn't that somewhat of an oxymoron?) Minnetonka should have just played 6 forwards the whole game. Seemed through the entire game any time Skippers had a chance to do something, went up a man when Holy Fire would get sent to the box, they'd 1-up them and send 2 to the box. Quite a few 4 on 4's, 5 on 3's, 4 on 3's. No good brawls but lots of pushing and shoving after many of the whistles. Didn't seem like much discipline on the ice, and thank God, because that provided about the only entertainment, which was still subpar. Good hot dogs. Had to conserve the nacho cheese for the latter half of the nacho tray, and no fountain soda, only bottled.

Let me guess. You live in your moms basement and when things don't go the way you like - you scream "MOM, WHERES THE MEATLOAF!"
I thought it was a great win for the Fire and thier program - Congrats to them!

Looks like the Skippers got a little "Fire" and Brimstone.

HF is deeper than they get credit for. They have 2 lines that can score and the 3rd line knows their role and they play it well. They have 5 very good defenseman and 2 very good goalies. Tonka is way down and don't see them being much of a factor in 6AA for a few years. I think EP HF will be really good. EP certainly has the pedigree but it would not surprise me at all the see HF win this game.

Minnetonka is young and they have a good coach. They will be fine and if their players stick around they could make a great run in two years.
