What's the deal with Buffalo? They have had a lot of close games with some really tough teams. They lost to Cloquet in OT and lost to Edina by a goal with a minute left. Can this team do some damage this year?

If they stop losing by one goal and start winning then they can.

I'll be the first to admit (on this post) that I am very suprised to see Buffalo doing this well.

Actually, I'm not even suprised at all on Buffalos success this year. Usually they've always had a pretty good team that is around the top 20 in the state (with the exception of the last 2 years). They have a pretty good youth program that seem to also send an exceptional amount of teams to state each year. This group of kids if I recall went to state their Bantam A year. And just for a heads up, they will be better next year to.

Yeah, and for another heads up, Moorhead and Roseau will be better next year. I am not sure which section Buffalo came from but they may have been screwed coming into 8AA when they did.
Moorhead sets a new state tournament record!

Coming from Section 6AA, which usually runs six or seven teams deep, I don't believe they have been screwed. <img src=

Buffalo can compete with teams such as Roseau or Moorhead. They may not win, but they have the talent to stick with them and if they get taken lightly they have a good shot of winning. Yea they are like 2-8 or sumthin like that but they've lost their last 5 games by 5 goals (snake bitten). If they can learn to start winning one goal games or find someone to step up they could make it to the section finals.

I dont know how much better their going to be next year. They have something like 11 seniors on the team. I have seen Buffalo play, and i have watched Moorhead on TV. They don't seem to be that much better. I think section eight could really be surprised

Yeah they had an excellent weekend in Rochester... . How will they beat or even compete with Roseau or Moorhead when they can't even beat one of the three Rochester schools? None of them are top 20 teams this year.
