Don't understand how EP got a 3 seed over DE, but in end it really doesn't matter. Eagan East game will be awesome.
I'll take LN, Edina, Centennial and East in QF.

Looks like HHF and I will have to step it up a notch now that we'll be going toe-to-toe against karl, lee and Team Greyhounds in the pre-game discussion forums. Might need to call up NATO reinforcements and get scorekeeper involved.
I wonder if Lakeville North will find it easier to sell their ticket allotments this year.

Nah, Karl and I are all about the diplomacy. However, I can't predict how the other "fans" will act.

If that does happen, it should set up a nice Friday night. Something about Edina & East, with the uniforms and everything, seems just right...

I also found it weird that EP was ahead of Duluth East, I think thats too bad for Eagan, I think they match up better to EP compared to East but nonetheless the Eagan/East game should be very competitive. Two defensive teams grinding it out, should be a good one.

This is the 5th time in 6 years those two have been on the same side of the AA bracket.

Bracket also holds out the hope (for some) for the elusive All Up North final. Or for an all South Suburban Conference final, for that matter.

Not mad about east getting 4 seed.... EP got out of 6AA and that's hard to do.....
It does set up a possible East- Edina matchup which would be awesome to watch.

I see it as an all Lake Conf championship game. Edina beats EP for the 4th time this year.

BTW - 2 Lake Conference schools, 2 SSC schools and an independent in the final field so pretty tight concentration. I'm still not convinced the SSC was as strong as promoted this year and they seem to take a step backwards next year with a realignment but it does show it helps when you can have more competitive regular season games under your control instead of being stuck playing a team you beat by 10. Conferences mean nothing and really don't work well for hockey. Football may be on to something for once IMO.

Will the EP administration let their kids out of school for their afternoon game Thursday? They don't for basketball.

What's cool is the mix of high end offensive firepower and tough, grind it out teams. This year's tourney has a kind of old school feel to it, with defensive toughness, physical teams, etc. I'm really looking forward to this years games.

I don't think you're using your head... EP and Edina both have the firepower, chemistry, and raw talent to get to the finals! This year is shaping up great for MN Hockey, couldn't be more excited to get down to the X! Hope everyone has a great time!
