IIRC he made that comment during the 1979 tourney. KSTP had gotten the rights to the tourney that year and 10 days before they tourney that year KSTP became the ABC affiliate for MSP. So to help promote that fact Hubbard brought in many ABC bigshots and Howard was one that was brought in. Also I believe that clip aired in the 2003 documentary Ice Dreams which was about the Hockey Tourney. It airs agian Sunday morning at 3AM and Tuesday at 10 AM and 1 PM.
