In retrospect, it could have been a lot of fun to follow up the Tourney Pick Em with a March Madness Bracket Tourney. Would've been easy enough with ESPN.
There's always next year..

My Hoyas are in the NIT, so that pretty much killed my March Madness enthusiasm this year. Though at least they can win a first round game in the NIT.
We could get an NCAA hockey bracket going, at the very least...

Could there be a worse nickname? You're the Georgetown ornamental shrubs

Ah, you need to educate yourself on your Greek root words:
http://www.hoyasaxa.com/sports/hoia.htm
Not that this makes our mascot any more logical.
We're on for the NCAA hockey tourney bracket.

'Hoya' is Greek for 'uffda'.
When sportswriters saw the Georgetown football team, they muttered under their breaths 'uffda'. But being gentlemen of the northern hemishpere they simply cheered 'hoya' as not to offend the spoiled, runty, private school snobs.
As always, the fine Norwegian gents maintained their nicety to the brats and coined a new term.
Since the origin, the private school snobbery has embellished the word in search of something significant.
Sorry, as I sit here shaking my head, its just our reaction to your ineptness, 'uffda'. Or our Norwegian nicety (not to mention intelligence), 'Hoya!'.

The bracket has been released for the hockey tourney. How should we do this?

Any chance there's a site out there that runs bracket competitions for hockey, as they do for basketball? That would make things a lot easier.
If no one finds one by late tonight, I'll just start a thread where we can all post our picks and come up with a point system.

I've done this contest for the past several years. It's nation-wide with great participation. You can create your own group(s) and run "mini-contests" for just those in your group. Totally free and no obligation of any kind.
