Big name grab for the Warriors--that should certainly help quiet any frustration over the decision to dump Archibald. It'll be a new sort of challenge for Aus, going from a perennial suburban contender to a team from a town that's been hovering in the 8AA picture for a while, but has yet to break through.

It also opens up a big opportunity in Blaine for someone to step in, and after some playoff frustrations in recent years, a little fresh blood might not be a bad thing.

I think both teams are losing a lot of seniors from this past year, so we probably shouldn't judge on just one year, but it'll be interesting to see how it all shakes out.

What is Aus' reasoning for leaving? Seems like a great job. Great feeder program, very good history/tradition at Blaine. Lots of D1 players last decade or so, Several notable alums playing in the show (Hendricks, Bjugstad)...eventually Brodzy boys.

I believe papa Aus resides up there now, could see a possible father/son coaching tag team? Wonder who will be the next BB HC?

Have you ever been to the Brainerd Lakes Area? A person would be crazy not to get out of the Metro if they can move there and make a decent living.

He had a lot of talent at Blaine which he had nothing to do with. None of his players seem to get any better in their high school careers. He wasted a great group of players the past two seasons.

Why cause they ran into a hot goalie against centennial?

I thought Blaine played pretty darn good!
