Board members are often coaches also. Coaches kids are better on average than non coaches kids.

Tough subject. all originations need volunteers. My experience shows their are not a lot of willing participants. for the most part 90% of board members are great, hard working, honest, trying to do their best. sad part is the small percentage of bad apples out there think their the good ones. we've all seen them.

Chose 50% only because there was nothing less.

I think there's more correlation there than causation.

Like Froggy said that most of the people on hockey board are hockey folks, their kids should be above average, so 50% would be a bare minimum. 100% would be fishy, right?
