Will be interesting to see what ER does in goal, 2 seniors and a Soph. in the mix. Gordie probably loyal to the seniors for the start. This could be ER's achilles heal early in the year. might need to score alot of goals.

Over/Under on the number of penalties is 25. I placed a wager on the over.

D1o or D6 refs? BIG difference.

Considering they didn't finish either of two scrimmages due to dust up's, I would take the over at 50 no matter where the ref's are from!
Should be a great game!

MWS...you must be a whale. The line just went up six penalties...in side information? Trojans are a little banged up from the two battles on Friday and Saturday. Kind of how I will feel the day after the annual football game on Thanksgiving. That being said. Should be a good game. GB

I hope you all bet on the over & don't have these goalies on your fantasy team, 9 goals scored so far on a combined 31 shots after 2.

This might be ER's MO this year, score 6-7 per game. Soph, Jax Murray with the game winner, his second of the game.

If they're going to give up 5 per game, they'll have to, if they want to win.
Seemed like they weren't so deer in headlights after the 2nd period though, and the goalie change seemed to make a difference. They should've just played with 6 forwards the first two. They would've given up the same amount of goals but maybe scored a couple more. Perhaps it was the difference between a team's first game & another's 3rd. Lots of grit shown to continue clawing & not let the wind out of the sail after being down a couple goals on a couple occasions.

Two recent great Wayzata games at Plymouth Ice Center, last Saturday tie with Edina and Tues nite OT loss to Elk. Two more coming up: Friday vs Herm and Sat vs Duluth East.
Schilling wasn't as tight last nite as he was against Edina. Elk didn't really get pressure and offense going in full swing until period 3 and during the OT period, which they dominated. I was surprised they dominated the OT, because of my perception that Wayz had a deeper bench. But the Elks kept their lines fresh, and called time when necessary.
Elk is properly ranked a little better than Wayz, flip of what LPH had. Curious why they are carrying 3 goal tenders on roster, they split their 2 seniors last nite, whereas I thought earlier Goalie Thread commentary was that Meyer would get more playing time?

Gordy will be loyal to his seniors until Meyers steps up. Meyers is the most talented and will get his chance. The key is to find the goalie for the games in March. Might lose a few as the procees works itself out. Patience isn't always easy for the young players.
