The best Class A game of the night. Two top ten teams in some polls. Mahtomedi has big expectations this year, and looks prepared to achieve them. Tough road game for the Spartans, can they pull the upset?

Best Class A game of the night actually might be #7 New Prague v #14 Mankato West at New Prague, in a rematch of last year's Sec 1A final.

Those teams both lost alot from those section final teams....
I could see the Alexandria, Apollo game being argued also.

Spartan JV has a huge drop off. Last year's JV only won one game. No correlation.

This was a fun game to watch. Good pace. Both teams had stretches in the O-zone with Mahtomedi having a slight edge. This was a good preview for a potential section final in February.
SPA a pretty nice team for being so young. Expect some good battles with Mahtomedi this year and next for state tourney bids.
