Sorry for the extended forum failure...it was out of our control, though we'll do what we can t make sure this doesn't happen again in the future.

But, we're up in time for Saturday night games. Post your scores!

Lakeville North 3
Grand Rapids 0
I watched this one earlier in the day online and I thought the GR goalie (Gerth I think) looked pretty good and for the most part, so did the defense. They kept North to one goal for most of the game before they got 2 in the last 3 minutes.
The thunderhawks offense looked a little sloppy, the top line was struggling with their passing and decision making a bit. I think a lot of that has to do with North's D. That seems to be a tough defense to crack.

Some other scores

Elk River (in overtime) 5
Blaine 4

ER was up 4-0 going into the 3rd when Blaine came back to tie it. In overtime Zerban got the game winner for ER, which was also a hat trick for him.
I listened on the radio while doing some work for this game and Kierstad got shaken up they said near the end of the game and I never heard if he ended up okay or not, so maybe someone else does?

Prior Lake 3
Burnsville 1

In Overtime
Duluth East 4
STMA 3
This sounded like a good, back and forth kind of game.
East scored with about 20 seconds left in regulation to send it to overtime.

Hill-Murray 5
Mahtomedi 1

Kiersted took a Teamates shot up by the ear hole and looked to split his ear open, he returned to finish game. Blaine did much damage while he was out. Elks have 5 games in 8 days with the last one V Rapids being the most important. They also lost a top four defenseman, he was on crutches after ankle surgery. Although Benilde took it to them and they are not as strong in goal their offense is lethal. Blaine goalie was outstanding and the Bengals have three top end players, Tufte, Noterman, and Brodzinski who had 2 goals in this one.

System failure nothing......I hear it was an emergency moderator meeting to discuss how to marginalize 1AA and prop up STMA, Duluth East, Grand Rapids and the rest of 7AA.

White Bear beats Woodbury 6-1

4 out of the 6 goals by WBL were scored on the power play as Woodbury took 3 majors during the game. The score could have been a lot worse had WBL finished on some really good chances. I believe the PA announcer said the Bears had 43 shots on net in the game.

Goldy still hasn't recovered from the concussion I see. No tuba emoticon so we'll go with this instrument with the hope he doesn't get his eyes poked. :-({|= ](*,)
