Is a MN B team allowed to play in the C division of a Wisconsin tournament? Thanks.

The better question is why would they want to? Hunting for hardware?

No.

Why would a Mn b team even consider this...The age offset between Mn and Wi is huge.
Unless your b squad members are essentially learn-to-skaters.

Some B teams are designated B for geographical reasons as opposed to Talent level. If the closest C team is 100-200 miles away, it's pretty tough to designate as C. So they try to search out competitive games. It all depends on the team.

I guess what i wanted to convey is that a Wi C team will not compare(most times) to Mn C

Usually a Wi A tourney will accept Mn B1
Wi B will accept Mn B2 etc...

I can see where your team at squirts possibly play Wi C. Just realize alot of the Wi team
will have kids that would be Mites in the Mn Assoc

I believe WI Squirts are single birth year 04's. Is that correct, or are they 04's and 05's? If they are just 04's, those aren't Mites in MN. Mites in MN are July 1st, 2005 birth dates and later.

Squirts 04-05
Peewee 02-03
Bantam 00-01

Essentially you could have late yr 03 mn kids playing early yr born 05's
that's a big offset

I actually like Mn years better than US HKY/WI years because it tends to keep classmates together

MN and WI classifications are different.

If they are of similar skill, then yes.
We have this problem all the time with Canadian teams and it is even more difficult because the Ontario teams may be at a different skill level than Manitoba teams and then we have North Dakota and UP Michigan teams and Wisconsin teams and some times coming. You hate to say 'no' but to try and keep things competitive can be difficult.

I would consult with your District Director and the WI association tournament director, but MH does not say you cannot play there.
