If no one is sick or injured, its EGF by 1 maybe an ENG for 2 goal difference.

EP came out strong right out of the gate. Fans had not yet arrived due to storm, EP side filled up later.

Jack Lawton took a justified 5 minute major early in the 1st, and Middlestadt promtply scored. Took the wind out of BSM sails, even though I thought they actually should have been energized to get thru the major without more goals. Later in first, EP picked up a 2nd.

Roo just missed making it 2 to 1 hitting the pipe on the first BSM shot of the 2nd., I sensed this was another deflator momentum point since they really needed that one. Later in period EP picked up two more, including an unbelievable angle Middlestadt goal from the far corner boards, and Graham got the 4th. Towards end of period 2, BSM had a 5 on 3, but couldnt hit the net, another downer point.

BSM rallied and game was pretty even in period 3 but they couldnt find the net. Period was fight filled.

Durocher shuts out the Red Knights but gives up 5 to Edina. That tells you something. M and G both succeed against the Knights, but couldnt get started against Edina., again tells you something.

A couple other things I noticed. EP has more sophomore depth than Ive seen earlier-names include Deraney, Johannes,Leivermann, and Corey Schoo. Also something mentioned several times way back at beginning of season by various people on this site about this BSM team--they are outsized at every position.

Game casts further confusion into the Section 6 prospects. Both teams have been up and down all year, so has Wayzata, so has Minntonka. Who will emerge in the playoffs?

Gotta enjoy it while we can. For the first time in MANY years, not looking forward to Sections, 'cause we know your guys will be waitin' there - lickin' their chops & grinning from ear to ear.

It wasn't just Dittmer last night. Moorhead outplayed EGF the entire game. EGF only had 3 shots on goal in the 2nd period. That was one of the best games I've seen them play all year.
