My thoughts on 6AA:
1 - EP
2 - Wayzata
3 - BSM
4 - HF
5 - Tonka
6 - Hopkins
7 - AC Wings
Any of top 5 are capable of earning bid to state

Hopkins has shown that they can compete against all Section 6AA teams. That would be 6 teams capable of earning the bid to St. paul.

Very balanced section. No real top notch team though.

Holy Family beat STA 3-2 which will help them big time. I'm going to say:
1. EP
2. BSM
3. HF
4. Wayzata
5. Tonka
6. Hopkins
7. AC Wings
Only section where 5 teams have a legitimate chance and Hopkins could shock the world.

Looks like Tonka got some respect from the coaches, got the #2 seed.

6AA is high school hockeys version of a "group of death". About five of the 7 teams can easily get to St.Paul, but I don't think Holy Family is ready yet. A year or two away perhaps. Hopkins is a little weak. I think Eden Prairie wins but certainly Wayzata and Benilde are right there as well. Minnetonka is a wait and see.

Hopkins just tied Wayzata 3-3.... There not weak unless you throw that term around elsewhere

Hopkins has proven able to give higher ranked or touted teams fits in the regular season but again my question is can they do it when it matters most in the post season. I am just not convinced. But then again it is getting close to that time of year (March Madness) for Cinderellas, buzzer beaters and upsets. Expect the unexepected!!

Goalie is the most influential position in hockey. Hopkins has the best goalie. He could seriously influence the outcome of a game or two. The beauty of sports is we will get our answer soon enough!

I would argue that Hopkins goalie isn't the best, he has only been above (barely) 90% SP 3 times against ranked teams. That won't do it. He is definitely a factor, but he's not a world beater.
