Karl, were you at the Heritage today? Hockey Hub is reporting a 4-4 final between East and Minnetonka. This puts East a 7AA quarterfinal win away from their 62nd consecutive winning season. At the very least, even with a quarterfinal loss, they haven't had a losing season since 1952-53.
Not to mention, tying a pretty good Tonka team is a positive heading into the section tournament.

Wasn't there, but yes, another even game with a top-15 team is a good sign. They finish with the same regular season record they did in 02-03.
Hard to say what's going to happen in this crazy 7AA, but it should make for good theater no matter what. I should be in Duluth next weekend for the semis at Amsoil.

HM 2, Moorhead 1, OT
Good hockey game at Aldrich this afternoon. Tight checking and D both ways.
Shots 29-16 HM. They were 12-11 thru 2 periods.
Mehnert scored for the Spuds in the 2nd.
Mikey Anderson for HM tied it with 6 min left in the 3rd on the PP.
Dylan Mills tapped in a rebound out of the air close in 2 min into OT to win it.
HM's goals both by 9th graders.
6 straight in this series for HM. It was 8-8 through 2009. Now 14-8.

FYI, this week's rankings won't be up until I have official seeds from every AA section.
