The kids have really begun to take this seriously. Many of them have been grooming, or not grooming, with this contest in mind since October. Even earlier for some, I imagine. Let's help the All Hockey Hair Team video guy out by offering up some early nominees, so he knows who to look for during the team introductions next week.

It's become another great part of the best weekend of the year. It's funny how since the first year he did this (2011 I believe), that now players prepare for it. Hermantown always has a team full of guys who look like they've been preparing since the previous year's tourney.

How about that Toby kid from Luverne? Oh wait. The cadets from STAA? Never mind.

Check out #24 on St. Cloud Apollo. He has the Patrick Kane look going.
Hockey Hair guy may have product...?

Pierce Wilson (backup goalie for Lakeville North) will have intriguing hair with something funny to say to the camera. During the 13 tourney he simply just said "pickles".

Saw this last year. Hoping for a 2015 version.
My kid and all of his friends are working already on their sick flow and they are only in 6th and 7th grade. I am not really liking their look as they grow out some nice flow but then spin their heads to give it a wrap around, I just got my head flushed in the toilet look.
I wish they'd go back to some old school 80's mullets.

I'm still waiting for the Glen Plake Mohawk and the Bozo.

The New Prague players have great carefully constructed mullets, but they fall short on their blueline approach. They're too stiff and their hair is too slick. To be really competitive in this contest you have to hit the blueline with speed giving your hair a little bounce and then flip it right before you come to a complete stop. Then the flow becomes slo-mo worthy. EGF backup goalie has all the tools, just needs to work on his blueline approach.

One of the larger # Hornet had a Jr Bozo without it being red in color.
And the Hornet stashes are not a good look at all...

I enjoyed the way Seper of North reveled his hair, the hair itself

Blaine brought it to introductions tonight. But can you really call it flow when you've got it tied up in a top-knot, samurai-style?

Seper has an awesome Tarzan look going for him.

Luke Seper has set the standard against which all others will now be measured. He nailed his approach, threw in the complexity of reaching behind his head to remove the ponytail, gave it a nice shake setting the flow in motion thereby making it slow-mo worthy, and said hi to mom and dad. All while steadfastly refusing to burst out laughing. A true hockey hair team professional. Anytime your performance has your coaches biting their lips to keep from laughing, you've nailed it! Well done, young man, very well done!

We should figure out a way to start a pool on this one.

I beg to differ, very well done but not the Nadia Comaneci of Hair, not a ten. I am going to nit pick and say he could have been a little more steadfast in his expression ... there was a hint of smile which is going against what he was trying to pull off and the swaying back and forth was distracting. A rock like statue would have been better. But it was very good, I'll give him a 9.7

Not sad at all and I don't think it has to be flow ... its hair. Facial hair or hair in a bun. Extra style and originality points for the manbun ... 9.65

It was good enough to make the USA Today sports page.

CBS Sports on this, too.
