As an Edina fan, I would love to see EP pull off a miraculous win. Eden Prairie has lost 18 of their last 20 games to Edina and a championship meeting would be no different.
The truth is, Edina's game against Duluth will likely skate a lot closer than this one.
Lakeville North 7, Eden Prairie 2

Look at that public school education at work. How do you spell Eden Prairie again?

Eden is a biblical reference, public schools aren't allowed to recognize it.

When's the last time AA had the exact same match up in a semi game two years in a row? Or that 3 of the 4 teams were in the semis the year before?

Can someone tell Lakeville that if they push the other team's player into their own goalie they can't just started punching them. It might be their signature move.

North is dirty. If this hockey thing doesn't work out for Enebek he could be the next Tom Hanks the way he acts.
The refs better get some control here.

How did #4 for EP score from that angle?! What a goal. Kinda reminded me of Grant Besse. He was lethal from that tough angle, south of the circle.

The dirty play starts with coaching. From my limited knowledge, Eigner does not seem like a classy guy.

One should consider that last year North was taking runs at the Edina players toward the end of the championship as well. Seems that the habit has not been done away with...

So what happened to Ryan Poehling at the end of the game. Injured or benched?

What happened? I had to leave the tv when it was 2-2 with EP up 20-10 in shots. 6-2. Wow!

I hope benched, missing Malmquist stunk as a fan, so would missing Poehling.
At least the crowd will have a clear favorite, strange that Edina and Hill-Murray are no longer the top hated teams by the crowd. I was actually looking forwards to see if the crowd actually cheered for Edina Saturday evening. Oh well, 17,000 East fans.

Isn't it always funny how people always hate a winner? Having said that, clearly a ton of recruiting has gone on at North. The irony is LV South used to get accused of being the recruiter in youth hockey leaving North dry. Funny how that worked out. Many of South's youth hockey recruits have long since bailed. Having said that East has quite a draw around the northland and DO have 3 million people routing for them. Having said that, those three Poehling kids are a big part of that team and they ARE from North. Having said that, that's all I have to say.
Can't wait for the game tonight. Gonna be a doozy and the end of a great story for someone. My prediction, North by 3 goals.

End of a great story for sure. This team was put together for the sole purpose of winning this tournament. It will be very interesting to see how long the current coaching staff sticks around. My prediction is they bail after this season.

Gosh a lot of haters on this string...... won't even justify a lot of the comments with a comment. Teams were going at each other pretty hard. Emotional game and its for sure North wears their emotions on their shirts....... Coach Eidner wants to win as do the coaches for EP, Edina, St Thomas, Hill Murray, Blaine, Hermantown, Elk Rapids, Duluth East, Grand Rapids, et al. No more, no less. Unless you know Coach Eidner personally, look in the mirror and don't throw stones.....North wasn't at 100% last night and Edquist did not have a strong first 2 periods but he stood tall in the third period and made a LOT of tough saves to keep North in the game. Don't know how North gives up a breakaway in the third period but Edquist made 2 amazing saves on that play...... Player of the game in my opinion.......

Player of the game! It wasn't just by luck that Ott leaves for development team and Eddy decides to enroll at North! Recruited hard! More power to you I guess.

He is a spoiled punk. He's not half the player next year without his surrounding cast. Benefitted from a very talented hard working linemate.

Sounds like you may have a personal issue with him? I'm not here to argue about him as a person. As a player this year I think he displayed a lot of grit and hard work. He has an excellent shot. He needs to embrace the strength's of his game (grit, hard work, strength, his shot) and not try to play like a skill guy. His skating needs work. As far as benefiting from a talented, hard working linemate is concerned, lets see if he sticks around first to determine the type of season Henry has next year. In the meantime, I'll take the over/under on him being committed to a D1 by end of elite league season this fall....
